INGREDIENTS: Snow peas.
Keep Refrigerated.
Try it boiled, steamed or stir-fried. Great for soups & salads.
Microwave cooking instructions: Pierce bag with fork. Place bag on microwave-safe dish. Microwave for 3-4 minutes or until tender. Remove dish from microwave. Open bag carefully, as vegetables will be hot and package will release steam. Serve immediately.
Shrimp Fried Rice Recipe 6 oz fancy snow peas 2 cups rice, long-grain, cooked 2 large eggs, beaten 2 Tbsp vegetable oil 2 cups broccoli slaw 1/2 lb (8 oz) shrimp, cooked and peeled* 1/4 lb (4 oz) bean sprouts 4 mushrooms, button, sliced 3 Tbsp soy sauce 2 stalks green onions, sliced
Cook rice and remove from pot into bowl or colander. Let cool. Break apart with hands. Rice can be cooked in advance. Scramble eggs without milk and cook for 3-4 minutes. Chop and set aside. Put 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in cooking pan, add broccoli slaw, mushrooms, sprouts and saute' for about 2 minutes. Add rice and soy sauce. Stir until rice is heated. Drop in shrimp, fancy snow peas, eggs and mix well. Add salt, pepper and more soy sauce if desired. Garnish with green onions.
*May substitute with chicken, beef, pork or Chinese sausage.
Serves 4
Refrigerate any leftovers.
